My Why

How I found my love for helping people move mindfully throughout their day and give people the tools they need to live in the present and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Hi I’m Maggie. I am so happy that you have found your way to my site and am grateful for the time and energy you are spending to learn more about the roots of Mindful Movement."

Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child I started taking dance classes and was instantly hooked. This later turned into a real obsession, and at age 14, I went on independent study for school so I could study ballet full time. The studio is where I truly found myself. I absolutely loved the practice and hard work that came with that intense lifestyle.

At age 16, I began teaching classes at my ballet school and quickly found that I had a calling in this role. Coaching and crafting exercises as a teacher was a much better fit for me than being center stage. I decided to continue teaching full time and eventually went on to take over the director position at my ballet school. That eventually led me to dive deeper into fitness and I went on to work a Master Instructor for a large international fitness franchise for many years.

After having my daughter in 2014, I began training in kids yoga and started to incorporate more of the mindfulness aspects into my workouts and lifestyle. As I continued teaching full time, I really struggled to fit in my own fitness and self-care routine as a mom. This is when I started working out at home, creating shorter routines that I could do efficiently without any equipment. I was so surprised at how drastically my mental and physical state improved by doing this practice at home for 30 minutes each morning. This time to myself continues to set me up to be a more mindful, patient, energetic, and motivated person, wife, mom, and teacher.

If I was feeling the need for this type of practice, I knew others needed it to. In 2019 I launched Mindful Movement with Maggie to inspire people to move and feel good in their body, giving them the practice of exercise and mindfulness with coaching and support every step of the way.

I have found my purpose in helping people to feel grounded, strong, and capable and that is why I founded M3. My intention with M3 is to do more than guide you through exercises. I aim to truly inspire you to love exercise and feel good, confident and most importantly, excited about your practice.

In 2020 M3Kids is launching, and I am excited to bring this mindfulness practice to school classrooms. I’ve had the opportunity to teach kids in a classroom environment and work through the same idea of Mindful Movement with them. When teaching M3 in classrooms, the teachers have given me feedback that the children have picked up on the language and breathing exercises and look forward to their class time together every week.

M3 continues to grow and evolve and the week after week. I am so driven and inspired by the real life stories I receive from the M3 Tribe. On how they finally can workout again after years of not being active, how their kids join in with them, how they were able to run a marathon because of the continued practice and core strength! This just lights my heart up! The community and connection is a huge part of this online platform. We have the ability to come together, to work together, and to lift each other up through our Forums and Private Facebook Group. Moving you mentally and physically is such an incredible gift and opportunity and I do not take that lightly. Each week I have a tutorial video that goes out to address your questions and give modifications. I hold a weekly Facebook Live in our private group to bring us all together and to answer questions in real time. We are a community of people who want to grow, be challenged, be inspired, and create positive energy for ourselves and those around us. When we move our body, we shift our mindset, and create positive energy that we bring into the rest of our lives. Mindful Movement is so much more than a workout, it’s a lifestyle.

Thank you so much for being here with us. I look forward to moving with you.

Maggie
