Mindful Movement with Maggie launches Mindful Classroom, a virtual wellness solution that brings mindfulness and movement to elementary school students, no matter where they're learning from.
Hello hello!
I am jumping for joy as I write this, eager to share some big news with you!
While many of you know that I am passionate about teaching mindful movement to adults, you may be surprised to know that I also teach kids!
In fact, one of my biggest dreams has always been to launch a platform that could support kids by helping them learn how to use mindfulness and movement to understand and tend to their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
This week, my dream came true.
Like many others, 2020 necessitated one pivot after another as well as some deep reflection into what my goals and priorities are. My idea to bring mindfulness into the classroom was not only more necessary than ever, it had the potential to be more accessible than ever given the introduction of virtual learning.
I decided to follow my heart and bring my idea to life and so I began working on a platform that would allow teachers and educators to use yoga, movement, and mindfulness exercises to support students in learning critical social and emotional skills and help them navigate this complicated time.
After months of working long nights and early mornings, I am thrilled to announce that Mindful Classroom is complete and more beautiful and impactful than I ever dreamed.
Mindful Classroom’s virtual, on-demand format gives educators and families everywhere access to the tools they need to get their students moving, breathing, and taking proper breaks while also supporting students in developing critical social and emotional skills such as managing emotions.
Our goal is to bring Mindful Classroom to every classroom in America but until then, I am excited to share that every TK - 3rd-grade student in Marin County public schools will have FREE access to the Mindful Classroom platform.
This incredible news comes as the result of the partnership with the Marin SELPA and the hard work of their visionary team.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of making this dream a reality and to everyone who is interested in becoming part of our growing story.
